AHHH! So, we yanked out the dx cluster in my buddys 96 hatch and threw in an auto ex..tach works and speedo, basically all the gauges, but now theres no dash lights! wtf?! 2 long blue clips and a yellow...please helllp!

 

so your dash lights dont work? or your gauge cluster lights (kinda like the dome light for your gauge cluster) im not sure what your talking about but if its the gauge cluster one just check the light blubs.

 

Also you dont need the yellow plug if you think you do.

 

isnt the yellow plug for airbags?...


and yes, i mean the lights that light up the cluster AND the climate control light...the buttons still light up, as do the various turn signal light and check engine etc...but no lit up anything!!!

 

sorry i can't help you out there, could be a fuse? or something..

 

check the fuses, also is there a dimmer switch? is there an after market radio? if so the dimmer on the radio should not be hooked up. Check behind the cluster at the circitry. loooking from behind, to the right youll see a 4 wire band. if that is broken that is why the lights dont work. just check over and give me more info.

i changed my deck to a cd player about 2 years ago ,the same thing .well like six months ago my sterio got stolen they left the wires just hangin there...wtf anyway

wile installing the new one i came acros a wire that accidently touched a +wire the dash lights came on with out having the lights on so all i had to do was plug the wire to a -wire and it should work

i will see what color the wire is and let u know so u can check that. that is if u still need it
