Default Do I need crossovers for new deck?

98 Civic...
Putting in this deck: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-r...HP460
I'm keeping stock speakers however. Guy at bestbuy says I need a couple crossovers or my speakers will blow
Do I really need these or will my speakers be fine as long as I don't crank it?

Best Buy loves selling those things, and your lucky if they even install them when you do buy them. Many times, they keep them in their toolboxes. I dont think they make much of a difference, but some people do. I'd just ride without them and keep your bass down. Bass Blockers are for neglagent people.
