Default Replacing Drum Brakes

Today I tried doing my drum brakes on my 96 accord. I couldnt get the drum apart, I beat it to loosen it up, and tried prying it apart, but it never came apart. Is there somethign else you have to do?

With the wheel on, does the wheel turn freely? Make sure the emergency brake is completely off. Also can try adjusting them looser, to move the shoe away from the drum.

Spray the hub with WD40 the drums get really rusted to hub , hit drum in center with hammer pretty hard , drum will come off .

drums usually have a slacker on them. On the back side you should see a slot or hole which gives you acces to a gear. Put a screw driver in there and turn the gear to back off the shoes inside the drum.

I'm not sure if accords have a slacker, but a more simply approach is, did you remove the drum nut and bearing that holds it to the hub???
