Has anyone on here put a b18a in a 94+ teg?
At least the short block?
What if any where the differences or changes that had to be made?
aWhere there any extra obd I, II sensors that did not have a place to go?

the B18A is obd0 I believe
and the bottom end between the B18A and B18B are the same...I think its all in the flow of the head and intake manifold that makes the difference...and of course the obd0 and obd1...some sensors and I think the B18A is also a cable tranny, not a hydro like the B18B's....

90-91 b18a is obd0 at around 130hp...92-93 b18a1 is obd1 at around 140hp

putting a 90-91 b18a would be pointless dropping into a 94+ teg...however the 92-93 b18a1 will be basically the same thing..

I suppose I would have had a lot less info re-introdused that I already knew if I had informed everyone that the head I am using is from a b18b and is fully ported with crower internals and b18b cams. The intae manifold was also extrude honed and the turbo manifold has ben port matched to the exhaust side of the head. I am only using the bare block and cran, the rods, bearings, seals, pistons, water/oil pump will be replaced.
I am asking because the blocks have a quite a difference in priceand I have several b18a blocks. What water pump and oil pump should I use?

Thans for all the help.

All non-vtec 90-93 b18 motors are stamped B18A1.
