most likely not..
Everyone on the board seems to refer to this one post, where someone had an ITR tranny in a EG, w/the ATS FD. He did some runs, conclude the ATS was slower in the 1/4.
No one considered that the OD of his tire has smaller than the ITR tire, so he effectivley geared his car lower than OEM *2times*.
*He* was shifting into 5th. In a ITR w/OEM Size tire that is most likely not going to happen.
If you guys wanna check it out yourself, here is a gear calc you can mess w/

Now I have 4.7X (EDM=JDM tranny) with shorter 4th and 5th gear (4 was so weak until this mod). Now I finish 1/4 mile on 4th gear on 8700 rpm. But is there something better for me for 1/4 than 4.7? 4.9 would be better or not?

If that's the case 4.9 may be too short.. it sounds like you would be shifting into 5th right @the end. (maybe jond is right)
4.9 would net better accleration for the majority of distances.. But if you are only after 1/4mile, it's probobly best to leave it alone.
not to mention you save yourself $750
