trying to jump start and the cables were crossed

my idiot brother put the neg on the pos and vice versa..now the car that needed the jump doesnt even get power anymore...no lights nada. the battery got recharged and is full but no power still...what is the problem?

i already told my bro hes the biggest idiot followed by some curse words.
the car has no power at all..no lights..nada.
i check the ecu fuse and it was fine. is it possible for a simple fuse to stop all electric current?

These is a box looking fuse make battery 100 apm under the hood fuse box right next to the battery. If it blows then there will be no power at all. Like a battery was not even connected. Check it. You need to use a screwdriver to unscrew it for replacement.

Yeah, it's possible. Like one other poster said, it's gonna be one of those big fuses in the engine bay. Like the main battery fuse or something. By "big" I mean, those huge square plastic ones, not the tiny little 5-25amp plastic things.

you are, as has been said, going to want to look at the fuse that comes directly from the alternator, this is the main power feed for the car, aside from the starter, and is most likely to be the suspect fuse.
