I am so fucked!!! Transmission help please.
I noticed this problem a couple of days ago when my transmission was slipping through gears. I have an auto 92 EX sedan. It felt like neutral was engaging for a second, between the shifts. Today, I was driving, and it just continued to slip and eventually wouldnt even shift out of 1st gear. I kept driving for another 10 miles at about 10 mph or so and eventually it got better and would actually shift past first gear and engaged properly. I am so hoping its only a low tranny fluid level while I'm waiting for the car to cool off. I need some serious advice. PLEASE HELP!! Anyone know where I can buy a used auto tranny for my car??? And where is the best place to get the work done in the NY, NJ, PA tri-state area. I am posting this topic on the "Tech" and the "Accord" forums.
I AM IN DEEP ****, PLEASE HELP WITH SOME ADVICE.

It wouldn't come out of first or
it wouldn't go into second?
Not wanting to come out of gear sounds like a clutch problem. Not going into gear could also be a clutch or synchromesh problem.
Sorry dude... when my tranny's 1st and 2nd gear synchros started going south, oh, about 4 months ago, I figured, ****, time for the H22. Yeah that's expensive, but just putting a "new" used tranny on the F didn't make sense.

I wasnt aware that an auto tranny had a clutch.
It felt like this: neutral, poor revving, starts moving in 1st, more pedal pressure, slips back to neutral, revs go to 5000, off the gas, 1st engages, and so on....
Then later: in 3rd gear, more pedal pressure for expected auto downshift, slips to neutral, revs go to 5000, off the gas, back to 3rd or 2nd, etc....
How fucked am I?
I am willing to put a used F22 tranny in.

they don't have a clutch - i think they missed that part about you having an automatic tranny - i just bought a 90 accord ex with that same problem - you will need to replace the clutch very soon - the next thing that is going to happen will be the reverse won't work - just go to a junk yard and get a tranny from another accord, if you are looking for the cheapest way out - otherwise, do an engine swap and give that car more power, like i am.
Jeez I keep forgetting not everyone has maunal cogs.
All right his torque converter and lockup clutch are dying?
Yellowcorn's girlfriend has an I4 auto Jetta Wolfsberg (98 I think, the previous chassis, and I don't know if you could get the VR6 in the Wolfsberg and the 1.8T didn't exist back then). Anyways she had similar problems and it was just some shift cable or something I don't know autos.
