So after I start my car, and I put it into drive it takes about 2 seconds to go into gear. It also pops 2 times before going into gear.
Also when im drivin, and it shifts it stays in neutral and revs, then goes into gear.
The previous owner of the car beat the living **** out of it... like every day.
So is my tranny goin to crap, or is there a way to fix it?

 

Mine did that a few weeks back & it got really bad after a few days. I had the shift solenoids replaced about a week ago and everything is back to normal. So far.

My transmission guy told me this may take care of the problem. If there is internal damage to the transmission, it could act up again - but I'm hoping for the best.

I've put about 300 miles on it since the solenoid replacement and so far so good.
