i just ordered my skunk2 short shifter for my 91 crx and the guy at the place at lighting motorsports was saying that supposely the double bend hits the console? anybody know anything about this...i had the same exact one on my EG and never had this problem he said its just with the double bend and the crx..i ordered it anyway just wanted to know if any one has heard of this?

my skunk2 dual-bend worked fine for me...it didnt hit anything...

 

no it won't, it will place the shifter closer to you so if you have an armrest, the armrest might get in the way.

 

the only reason it would hit the console (if ur talking about infront of the shifter) thats because it was put in backwards....you should have NO problem installing the short shifter

 

sounds good..ya i was saying why would it hit anything..the guy at the store just said someone called saying it hits the console so when i told one of my friends we both said he prob put it in backwards as well

 

You should be thankfull that the guy at Lightning warned you, even if he was wrong. (I think the guys there are pretty good!) He could have just taken your money and not voiced concern.

If there is no fitment problem, give them a call just to clear up the situation. Your invoice should state who took the order and gave you the warning.

sounds good after i install it..if there is not hitting into the console ill call back and let the guy know that its working find and im having no problems what so ever and that it may have been possible the other customer may have just had it in backwards or installed it wrong some other way
