Default To Cybernate or not???

I've heard a lot of mixed feelings about the cybernation turbo kits... some people praise it, some people say all they do it blow things up...

Does anyone actually have the kit on their car to give me some feed back?

I'm debating between the Greddy and the Stage II Cybernation.

thanks

From what I've seen, I would trust them. They just came out with a Guardian EI, self tuning piggy back computer. On an Si, they made 279.5hp, 228.3lbs of torque @ 9psi.

Instant messenge (or just search for old posts by) k-series. He's got the
Stage 1 kit and was one of the first Si's to have it.
esmith13 is also on here (I think) and he's got it as well.

I've heard nothing but good things about it from those that have it.
It is a turbo kit, so not everything is perfect and the install is a bear.
But once it's installed, I've heard of very few problems (other than
needing a new clutch to handle the power).

Yea, I'm pretty sure that JRSC are on it about fixing their current supercharger bearings. Hopefully they can get that done soon and sell it again.

I've only heard one case of a guy blowing his engine with CN. I never heard what I happened, I think he sued them

Uh? Montgomery Village, right? Get on the ClubRSX.com Mid-A board. We have three Stage 2 Type S. Just don't race too much or over rev.

Also let me invite you to our next meet on Feb 28 at DNB

What goes on at the meets???

I wont be able to come next weekend b/c of my other job in PA... but I definetely will in the future...

I dont plan on racing my car too much... If I have 350 hp... I wont have to rev it very hard to beat everyone anyway. Did you guys keep the 8400 rev limiter??? or do you take it higher than that with the different internals?

the last thing I want to do is blow my baby up

I love my kit and will upping it to stage 3 eventually. I need to finish my trans and suspension first.

I'm on my site most of the time if you have any specific questions.

Just for the record, we do not always blow up motors. Have motors blown? Of course, but when you have dyno'd as many cars as we have (thousands) it is inevitable. And most of the motors that have blow have been our own when we are testing the limits of the motor and trying out new ideas.

I mean who in their right mind would put 40psi to an RSX with only pistons rods and blackguard not expecting the possibility it may self-destruct. BTW, that was not one of the motors we blew up.

Does CN have any other shops than in florida???

I plan on doing all the work myself, but it's always nice to know there's someone close for if I get stuck...

The stage 2 kit is looking better every day...
just have to get this damn bike paid for first

CN used to do the cars themselves if you were in their area. They no longer offer that service. They can reccomend a shop near you. They also offer support to the installing team (be it you or a shop) and from what I've heard are very patient and helpful over the phone.

I've yet to hear a negative thing about them, I'm guessing those that said they like to blow stuff up mistreated their car and did something silly... of course it's a turbo and doing something the engine isn't really supposed to do, so anythign can happen.

I'd trust CN.

i went out to their shop a while back for a clubrsx meet with a friend of mine. their facility seemed very professional and seemed like they know their shiet. they had a few rsx's jus sitting there just waiting to be torn up, boosted, tested, etc. but i would say they are a pretty good company

cybernation
