CTR pistons with ITR rods - any problems?

CTR Pistons in with ITR Rods ??? anyone had any problems?
Hey wassup all,
I'm swapping out my USDM TYPE R Pistons for the JDM CTR Pistons for higher compression.
From what I was told was that it will not fit the Type R Rods unless u mill it to fit. Any one has this issue or concern? From what I heard, milling the rod is normal or should i say, nothing unusual to do, something that is common, to fit the pistons.
