Default FS: Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind

If you're a nitrous junkie, install a Jacobs Electronics Nitrous Mastermind and you won't have to worry about melting your mill. The best thing about the Nitrous Mastermind is its ability to flow nitrous in proportion to rpm. You'll get more power, safety, and traction without hurting anything, even with two-stage systems. It also handles a few extra jobs:

* Prevents detonation by retarding timing on nitrous
* Ends burned pistons by shutting off nitrous if fuel pressure drops
* Stops destructive over-revving with a feather-touch rpm limiter
* Prevents nitrous from turning on under a set rpm
This unit is fully adjustable from the dash. Compatible with all nitrous systems.

This item carries CARB E.O. number D-19-10 for use in California.

220shipped and its urs!

The way it works is you have 4 ***** on the mastermind the first **** controls ignition, the 2nd controls the rpm you want the nitrous to start flowing, 3rd **** controls what rpm you want 100% power from the nitrous, and 4th **** controls the rev limiter. Ok lets start with the 1st **** you set how many degrees you want it to retard the timming when the nitrous is activated. The 2nd **** you set at the rpm you want the nitrous to start. The 3rd **** you set what rpm you want 100% power, anfd the 3rd **** you set the rev limiter it goes to 10K rpm.
Ok now lets say you are going to run a 100hp shot and you want the timming to be retarded 3 degrees and you want good traction so you want it to be at full 100 hp at 6K rpm. So here is what you do set the timming **** to 3 set the start nitrous flow **** to say 3K rpm then set the 3rd **** to 6Krpm and then say you have a 8500 rev limit so set the 4th **** to 8500. Now what will happen is that the nitrous will start tpo flow at 3K rpm and it will be 50hp (50% of 100hp) and the ignition will be retarded 3 degrees and then when you hit 6K the nitrous will be flowing at 100hp (100%) and then at about 8400 rpm it will cut the nitrous and fuel solenoids both b/c it controls both solenoids not just the nitrous solenoid, then at 8500 it will cut spark and you will not go above 8500. Now the progressive part from 3K to 6K will be increseing from 3K (50hp) and 6K (100hp) so at say 4500 you will be flowing at 75hp. Do you see what i am saying? It is kinda confusing at first but once you have the mastermind infront of you and you set it up with test ligts to see how it works it will all become crystal clear. I would suggest setting it up with a test light b/c if you have something set wrong you could do damage to the motor. let me know if you are still confused.

You probably don't want to make any deals with him anyway. They're worthless until the cash is in his hands.

This thread explains his shrewd business.
