Default Exedy Clutch question

well actually im questioning about a clutch and a flywheel, in your guys honest opinion how well do u think the chromoly flywheel and the cerametallic clutch perform because im thinking about purchasing the two for my jdm b18c5 and i just kinda want something that works great. and another question i had was whats the difference between the thin clutch and the thick? I appreciate helping me out.

Thanks,
Daniel

Are you talking about the basic crematic Exedy clutch kit? If so I would go with somthing like an ACT organic w\ heave pressure plate. I don't think the holding power of the Exedy would be good enough for that application. IMO

here is some information for you:

http://www.prostreetonline.com...y.asp

The cerametallic is a good clutch. It's stronger than the organic, and the cerametallic is the best clutch up to the hypersingle. The hypersingle does come with a flywheel though. Read through the above, it should answer all your questions.

Good luck.

exedy is very weak clutch. most fail under any mildly high performance setup.

I would recommend act HDSS and prolite flywheel or fidanza flywheel

Saying "Exedy is a very weak clutch" is not very accurate. Exedy makes everything from OEM, to super high performance triple plate clutches that hold over 1200hp. You just need to pick which is right for you.

people think that if the pedal isn't hard then it's not a good clutch. i've had my exedy for a year now and love it.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but what is everyone's opinion on the ebay exedy clutch kits for $100. Are they any good or should I just save my money for a better clutch.

Those are just factory replacement clutches. PM me with application for prices on those.
