not everybody will get the same results dropping from the same rpm. There are many things involved
-Tires
-Rims
-Suspension
-Clutch
-Horsepower/Torque
-Transmission
-Weight of the car

Usually what works best is just to go out and try it a bunch-In most front wheel drive cars i found it works best to either launch really hard at a low rpm (2500-3000) or feather it out at like 4 grand.

You want to get a little wheelspin to keep from bogging-but not so much that you are just lighting them up.

BEST thing to do is to go out and practice

You dont want to spin like a mad man when you launce but if it cant spin the tires trying at 4 grand your clutch is slipping or your motor is dead.

Like I said go read the post in the ITR page it has alot of great info that can pertain to anybody.
