Default HELP!!! motor revs high at start

i just swapped heads, and put cams in and adjusted valves. my intake manifold gastket was bad and was leakin coolant so i replaced it.
after i replaced it, it still leaked so i put some gasket sealer on it (i know ur not suposed to but it worked). now one of the bolts that holds the intake manifold to the head is striped so there no pressure there.
my problem is, is that when i start my car it, it revs fast. i dont know how high it will rev because i turn it off before its gotten past 4500 everytime. could it be that it is lettin air in where there is no pressure on the gasket, makin it rev high? i checked the the throttle cable and it was fine. Please help ASAP thanks

oh ya, the other night i ran it for a second before i figure out there was a leak. this was also before the bolt was striped. it did rev high like it does now. can i replace this stiped stud of bolt of whatever it is with a bolt and just screw it into the head??? TIA

stud can be replaced with bolt. Are you sure that you don't have a kink in throttle cable and cable misadjusted causing engine to race?

Just a thought...

cool, thanks ill replace the stud tomorrow, i checked the cable and its fine. i started it back up and it makes a whistle/squeaking noise, so its most likely lettin air in there which would make it rev high??? sound right?
