Loose Bolt on the Intake Manifold?
Real quick question. What effect could having a loose bolt on the intake manifold cause?
I noticed this weekend (just got my car from the shop), that the end intake manifold bolt was barely in, maybe three threads. I tightened it up and it seems to me like the turbo is spooling much quick, full boost is being achieved much sooner, and the BOV seems slot more noticeable.
Is this all possible or am I being hopeful?
Also, would the car need to be re-tuned or this? IT seems I am going over the 13 psi the car was tuned for in high revs.
Thanks in advance for the help.
motor is a b16, intake manifold is Victor X, Revhard stage 2 kit,

Re: Loose Bolt on the Intake Manifold? (RipCurl)
Well if it is loose enough it could definetly cause a leak. If you had a tune with the bolt loose and it had a leak I would recommend another tune. Its hard to say how bad it would leak but if it was only one bolt backed out then I highly doubt it would have been that bad if at all. If if leaked and the problem was resolved you would definetly see better spool.

thanks for the quick reply.
it was one of the end bolts on the passenger side so it would seem that would make more of a difference then one of the middle bolts.
