Default Should i remove my heater?

I live in CoCal. I have a 91 STd hatch. Recently i helped my buddy gut his Ef 4 door, we removed the AC and Heating stuff, i noticed how heavy all that stuff was. Im thinking of removing it all in my car. Unless someone can give me a good reason y i need it in Southern California weather. It would save weight, and make engine swaps easier, that rear heater hose is a BITCH!! Anyway, i think someone told me that in tropical countries they dont even hook up the heater hose. What yall think?

If this is your only car, do what you want. IMO, but if you wanna take a girl or something out on a drive in your ef , it would suck

If this is your daily driver/only car. NO! On track days/race days Gut your interior and remove your passenger side seat(also kinda heavy). If you decide to sell this car, a heater might help in the sale.

If you live were it is warm all year take the heater stuff out and put it in a box if you plan on selling it later.

I don't know. I drive my car 3 to 4 days a week. and I went with out A/C all summer. If it gets hot put down the windows. If it gets cold put on a coat. I think I will pull my heat this summer.

I bet there may be times when you need to defrost the front window.
ie: mornings, cold nights and some rainy days.

If you drive on the street you will need it for a defrost function, or Defog even. If you ever drove a Volkswagon Bettle (old one) or a fiat 500 you would know what I mean. Heck anycar with a non fuctioning blower motor even.

If its a track car it doesn't matter, on the street that is a saftey issue.

It will be a huge pain come defrost time if you need it. Other than that I would do it, I did to mine, but was forced to drive it this winter, so I had to put it all back (super glad I did after this morning....brrrrr)

I used to own a 67 beetle.........they had heat?!!

I have used it. I was not impressed. Now Rain-X I was mighty impressed with. But don't put that on the inside of the car.

Yeah, like ****. The interior de fogger stuff is beat. It causes more fog than if you hadn't used it.
