oil
Thats the question of the ages...hahah...
I waited until my second one at @7,000 miles...And have had no problems since...I did however install the Spoon magnetic drain plugs at @600 miles and was a little suprised with what was stuck on it at the first oil change, which was around 3,000 miles...

Read the manual. It is generally recomended to NOT do the first oil change before the first scheduled interval based on your driving habits. There is a special break in oil in the crankcase from the factory. FWIW, my dealer uses Castrol GTX.

yes. very good oil. all the guys at inline four run this. although they use the synthetic. i have used the normal oil in the past and have been nothing but happy with it. i have gone to full synthetic now after my motor has broken in. i get a really good deal on royal purple so i run that.
