Default Will a D16Y8 tranny direct fit an EG?

Just like the topic says. I know the D16Z6 tranny will do but not sure bout the Y8. I would appreciate any input from you guys. Thanks.

does the gearing is the same and which one is stronger ???

the y8 tranny is only better than the z6 because the y8's have steel shift forks and z6's have aluminum shift forks.

Thanks for the help guys. Anything I should know before picking up my Y8 tranny? Any parts/modifications needed or just buy it and slap it in? Any pointers you can give me when buying the tranny? On the transmission it says p20 B000. would this be the right one?

Correct The Y8 and Z6 gearing is identical
