Default DC catback exhaust

I need some opinion because I'm trying to buy a new catback for my 2001 ITR. I trying to buy DC catback part # ACS8008. Does anybody used this exhaust on their ITR. Is it loud? I dont want to loud exhaust. Thanks

garbage IMHO. do some searches around here for quiet exhaust. Mugen, Fujitsubo, Hytech, SMSP..

i got a Dc sports and i wouldnt have bought it if the guys at the shop would have told me before i bought it that it was 2.25 when i thought i ordered it 2.5'...

its noisy a bit, but mine has good sound as far as im concerned i was going for a stock look... if you dont floor it, the cops wont look

Dunno much about comptech but if this is their 2.25" version, your power gains are going to be limited.


They will be null if he doesn't get a higher flowing header and cat...in which case a 2.25" exhaust would be a giant paper weight.

it's not too loud at all, but it is heavy as hell and blingy with all the chrome.

I had one on my old car, nice exhaust but for the money there are a lot of other/better (IMO) options.

Compared to a stock exhaust on an ITR, yeah it's pretty loud. Your R must be fairly new since your name is "01GS-R".


Matt's $.02- save for a nicer exhaust or keep it stock

well i do have a 2.5'' inch Dc JDM 4-1 header and a SMS modified hi flow cat ordered for this summer... it'll breed a bit... still do they even make 2.5'' for JDM type R?
