KW coilovers
Does anyone have experience with coilovers from KW? Searched and found nothing....

Great price, and stainless as well. I'm thinking about variant2 for street and track use. Anyone?

I tested a set a few weeks ago. Shocks are pretty decent, but the springs are poor quality. I actually have one sitting in front of me as we speak.
There are better alternatives for the money IMO.

Which coilovers would you recommend instead on a stock ITR? Must be stainless and used mainly for street but tracked occasionally....

Have a set of V3's for an Audi in my basement, they look purdy. KW uses progressive springs so the ride quality should be good, however you will sacrifice some track performance. That's pretty much all I can say now, ask me again in a couple months
As far as better coilovers go, it all depends what you are comparing the KW's too.

I checked out those exact KW's quality looks to be there, but since they are not on the car yet and no real exsperiance who knows! if they do sag that would suck ***. But I just do not see that happening with the V3's they are the highset end modles with helper springs and two way adustable. But what do I Know, you should ask all the German turing cars that use them

I and a lot of friends have the Variant 1. For a street application Var. 2 or 3 is not worth the money.
The car handles great but if you lower your car too much the suspension is realy hard, i praid for my control arms, there will be NO comfort left if you lower the suspension to the max.
This is my hatch with 16" rims, KW Variant1 lowered to the max:

I raised the suspension for about 1" and now it is perfect.
Be sure to get the inox line (stainless steel).

hey, i run kw variant 3's on my R... i like em... but i got a deal on them (2 G's Cnd taxes in)... for wut they do they are pretty nice, handle well and the seperate compression and rebound adjustment is nice when tryin to get rid of understeer... and as far as sag goes, i've had them on the R for 9 months and no sag yet...

Yes Ryan does work for Eibach but I've seen him give honest/positive opinions about competitors products in the past. I for one would take his word for it

iam just saying it how i see it, u have the eibach tag as a avatar iam just saying you sound bias. thats all. i told u why i think there good other then the fact my friend rides on them (adjustable dampning), iam not saying this is the best product, if u ask me H&R and Bilstien are the best out there hands down but i know that if u ask me Eibach doesn't have the same brand as a H&R or a Bilstien, i think it's because iam from the German part of tunning and we don't really value Eibach as a key player as far as suspension goes we once did but now theres soo much other product that have the same or even better quality now look at Wietec there 60/40 kit sux in my opinion but there Coilover kit is much better.iam not sure if you honda guys know about Wietec my bad. iam just telling you the reason of my thinking thats all.

English please?
Eibach has been making springs for a long time and is one of the leaders in the industry and supply IRL, NASCAR, WRC, etc with springs. Professional teams. If you dont choose to recognize this and insist on using a substandard product, you're only selling yourself short.

we aren't talking about just springs we are talking about coil over kits. which eibach has no competiting product, there so called coil over is just a spring with a sleeve
. KW coilovers have the spring, with a helper spring with the strut/shocks this setup of coilovers is more expensive but does a much better job with helping in handling, and also with the adjustable dampning which is beoming more popular u can adjust your stuffness of ride.
i stand corrected eibach does sell such products my bad. shows me how much marketing eibach has done for there better products.

I know. And Ryan pointed out that the springs were not of the best quality. I'm not sure why you got your panties in a bunch. He has direct experience with the product and posted his honest opinion.

Then why are you accusing Ryan of presenting a biased opinion?

We don`t have a full coilover? Then what was I testing at the California Speedway this weekend on a new VW R32? Yes, I said R32. Oh, we had our Z06 out there, too, which has our coilover on it.
We do not sell coil sleeves, that is ground control. And, team those w/ a set of Koni Shocks and the right rates and you`ll have at least a comparable kit to the KW at half the price, if not better.
We can go on and on all day, but until you have some REAL data, it`s just hot air.

Ok, I just got the KW version 2 installed on my Ek4. Now I think the shop got the springs mixed up. The front is adjusted as high as it goes, and I can't even turn the wheel. The rear is way high, and can it even higher. The rear springs is a bit thicker then the front ones. Is that right?
