Hondata and Knock sensor question, and Tach question...
I've been told that you can disable the knock sensor on the S200 Honda setup? Is that true, and if so, how is that accomplished?
Also, I'm going to be doing a OBD0-OBD1 conversion with a P28 ECU. I would like to do a full Autometer gauge setup (because its cheaper than the damn UK clusters). I've been told tho, that if I remove the speedo sender wire from my dash it is going to throw a CEL. I've also been told tho, that the ECU, can be chipped to do away with this CEL, so I can use the Autometer speedo. Would this be possible with Hondata?
Any info would be great!
Thanks
Bryson

Disabling the knock sensor is as easy as checking a box in the ROM Editor Software.
It will throw a CEL if the ECu can't see the sensor. If you remove the cluster, I don't think that will cause a CEL though? I am not a civic EF guy so I am not much help there. Sorry.

Ok cool.
yeah, I got it confirmed from Driven that if the stock speedo is unpluged it will throw a CEL. however, he said that you can chip the ECU to do away with the cell...but at the same token, hes not too familure with the Hondata.
