Default Big ZC Problem! HELP!

ok, so i'm in the process of swapping the zc in. but i ran into a huge problem. i was replacing the rear main seal when all of a sudden the thing that holds it down (bolted down by 5 bolts i believe) broke! so i managed to get the seal out but now i can't put the new one in because its housing broke in two places. I'm HOPING that i can use my dx one. i need this thing fixed to get the flywheel on so i can get the clutch on to get the tranny bolted onto the block so that I can swap this thing in! i can't have my car in this dude's garage forever. Please help me!

i amagen you have fixed it allready but let me give you some advise ditch the dohc zc performance parts are kind of scarse go to hmotors online get the d15b vtec long block its like 550 shipped jdm motor out of 92 95 civics 140 hp lighter and tons of performance parts. allso have a friend who put the same motor in his dx
funny thing is his dx motor with the si swap was faster lol but he would never admit it but now hes bought a nitrous kit sowe maybe his motor will now be faster hmm he got beat by a crx with a full body kit and the si motor that came with the car just bolt ons dun to it

ya the dohc zc looks good but you will save your self a lot of time and money by going with a newer moter (dohc was the si motor for the 84 87 crxs)

yea, it fit, but now i'm getting more problems.
Ok, this thing is starting to **** me off. I am using the original zc dizzy with new cap and rotor. I am getting spark (friend got shocked). I am getting fuel. I know that for sure. The engine cranks but does not start up. I have a dx so wiring for mpfi was required. I am using a pm6. I was wondering what could be the problem. Is the ECU supposed to light up when the key is in the ON position? Because, my ECU does not light up at all?? at one point a puff of smoke came out the TB along with a "popping" sound. please help.
thanks in advance.

One more thing is make sure you harnesses are connected all the way. When I was a noob to crx's and did my swap at first I had this problem. THe car wouldn't start for ****. then I checked my harnesses and one wasn't connected completely. I felt like a dumbass for a week straight. I would check just in case.

i found out it was the timing. ok the car runs now. only problem is i'm getting a oil leak around the crank pulley area. it's like a rotating mist. it's all over the driver side of the car. other then that, everything seems good. what can that oil leak be? how do i fix that?

hmm interesting, I had a similiar problem, mine turned out to be, somehow oil had gotten on and around my alternator, so everytime I drove it, and for like a week straight, a white mist would engulf my engine bay on the driver side but my battery light was on at the time as well.

Does it have any distinctive smell, what color is the smoke

btw ignore half the rejects on this board putting down the zc. its the same age of the b16 oddly enough, and vvti1400 is completely wrong, there are parts associated with the ZC they're just from different motors, like the timing belt is from the 2.0 prelude 89 teg spark plugs si engine mounts
and the ZC is from the 88 onward si in japan. not the 84-87 crx. if I'm not mistaken that was the EW4
