Default Help identify Motor plz!!!!

I got a 92 civic with a ZC motor in it, and i got no clue exactly what model it is.. can anyone help me identify it?

my car is a 92civic dx hb w/ the single cam non-vtec zc. On the block it just says ZC and im not sure if its an SOHC or DOHC, and i belive its 1.6L righT?

From what i know ZC's are 0Bd0 and i remember when i went to buy a new distributor few months ago, he gave me a ZC one, and it didnt work, i changed it for an 0BD1 i belive. So im all confused. Anyone help me figure out exactly what this motor is... not sure what parts i can get for this motor, such as valvesprings, cams, etc...

help
I can post pictures if needed.

pix would be a big help. try taking them of the id plate right below the head on the left hand side if you were standing at the front of the car, where you can read zc and of the valve cover and intake mani.

They did have a OBD1 SOHC ZC and OBD1 DOHC ZC, the dohc being the rarest one.

DOHC ZC is supposed to look like this:

SOHC ZC:
Nevermind the VTEC valve cover. They should look similar

they had a obd0 zc and the obd1 zc

-obd0 zc = dohc(non vtec)- usdm, was pretty much the same motor as the one that came in the first gen integra, alot of people did these swaps in their 88-91 civic and crx because they were stright bolt up.
-obd1 zc = sohc

both motor were 1.6

Thanks for all the info, and ill put pictures up tomorrow (tuesday).
I think its an SOHC 1.6 ZC ... anyone know what parts are compatible with this motor? I mean, when i look for parts, such as cams, or headers, will a d16y8 or something fit aswell? or should i always look for ZC Sohc products/

it is a 1.6L, you got that one right.. and if you have the non-vtec all of the non-vtec cams, springs, etc. for a d16a6, d16y7 should work with it..
from my understanding, it is the jdm version of the d16a6 just like how the DOHC zc is like the jdm version of the d16a1..
but if you have the vtec zc, then go with the sohc vtec aftermarket support.. d16z6, d16y8
*btw. dohc=duel overhead cams, sohc=single overhead cam...*

i dont have much knowledge about the sohc zc.. but if you want, http://www.d-series.org does..
