Emergency brake won't hold

The emergency brake on my 96 Civic HX does'nt keep the car from rolling no matter how high i pull the brake. How can i fix this. Can this be a simple tightening of something or is more involved. Thanks.

Maybe its your e-brake cable or your pads need changing? My friends firebird has the same problem.

Check your pads and cable for adjustment.
