HMotorsOnline.com sells D15B SOHC VTEC long-blocks with 130ps for $435 plus shipping. That seems to be what you're looking for.

Sorry man I meant CRX.

Also HMotorsOnline.com is a good place to buy a SOHC engine.

welcome to honda-tech, here are some things you will need to learn:

ht- honda tech
bump- puts the thread higher up on the list
ibtl - in before the lock, if a thread sucks, it gets locked, meaning deleted
idb- in da butt
vtec- you should know this, but if not, variable valve timing and electronic control
gdd- general discusion and debate
ef- jdm chasis code for the 88-91 civic
imo- in my opinion

and i forgetting anything?

ttt-to the top, same as a bump.
up- same as ttt and bump
Itb's- individual throttle bodies
Fs: for sale
WTB: Want to buy
Cf hood-carbon fiber hood.
FBP- flamingo black pearl Si 99-00
MR- milano red
PY itr- phoneix yellow integra type r
obd0-on board diagnostics, or some call it non obd, or pre obd (88-91)
obd1- same basically but version 1, Most commonly used and reccomended (92-95)
obd2a- see above (96-98)
obd2b-see above again (98-00) im an ef guy so i dont mess around with that much.
test pipe- replaces you catylatic converter with a clean straight thru pipe
b18c5-usdm type r
b18cR-jdm type r (doesnt say "r" on the block. Just b18c.
Im not gonna go through that whole list.
just know anythign without a number after it means its jdm.
PM- private message. Use this alot to do business and what not.
Heres the best one for ya...

SEARCH

That one will pretty much tell ya anythign you want to know. Most of the stuff people ask today has been covered before in the past. Just a heads up because you will get flamed for asking "dumb" questions. no one has patience on this board...nother heads up.

But as far as the acronyms go there are a bitch-ton of them. Make em up if you want no one cares. For example:

Instead of ttt (to the top) you could use
ttmft (to the ***** ****** top)

So thats my advise to you

ps. for your question i reccomend the d15b from total boost. We just bought 6 motors from them. Andre is super cool and very very helpful. Prices might be a lill higher then some, but the service is well worth it.

looks like you may be in the boonies. i dont know what honda parts availability is like in minisoda but in california i can wipe my *** with D series motors and only be almost broke. haha.

try to scan to HT classifieds or any other "street racing" site. as long as its not car specific most will have a high population of ex D series hondas. junkyards are also a good place to call/go.

someone should make a FAQ of abbreviations too. there were some on there that were new to me.

also maybe you should rethink swapping if it costs too much. putting 400 into a longblock that is .1 liters smaller and puts out only a little more power may not be what you want. look into forced induction (FI). aftermarket camshafts (cams) or new forged high compression internals(uhhh)
