jdm hood pop? you meant the usdm invention of washers to lift the rear of the hood for cooling?

This is not a new idea. Old school VW bugs prop the decklid open for extra cooling. Its makes sense on a bug, but none on a Honda

Now if its done because you have ITB's it would make more sense

yeah thats true about the vw's
but if you are going to spend the money on itb's , you should get a vented hood instead of looking like a retard with your hood popped.

I don't believe it worked on a Bug for cooling either. I do believe feeding air to ITBs, but think about this.

Cowl induction hoods have a big hole there because it's a low pressure area where air is sucked in to the engine bay.

dude there is nothing jdm about it. everyone does it for looks, some actually do it because they need hood clearence after going boost.. supposedly. some people try to justify that it releases hot air from the engine bay.

washers = jdm

I've seen a japanese site for a "usdm club."
It was sick, a jdm integra with a usdm front-end. But apparently the "usdm" front end was available there.

Not if someone likes it. Over the past few years, it seems that Honda-Tech has turned into Hater-Tech..

Temp tests confirm very little difference unless you have like a 2-3" raise which looks super lame imo.
