i have a 93 ex with d16z6. piston rings are bad. local engine guys quote 1) 1000 to rebuild and 2) 400 labor with parts (but said i need to redo everything including crank, head and bottom end with oil pump). what swap can i do with like a jdm engine that bolts right on. i heard some of the zc d15b motors will work. i have like a 1k to work with plus a dismantled b18b1 engine minus dizzy in my garage. what would be best for now. the b18b needs to have a cylinder sleeved and then built. thanks for the help

you can find a d16y8 motor very cheap, for like 400 bucks , the last time i check/bought one. Thats just the long block tho

 

but won't i have to convert to obd2?
