Default TURBO D15?????????

Alright guys, heres is the deal. I go to a tech school in PA. A kid in my class is going to boost his D15. Gonna run a t25,sidemount, chip, 450cc injectors and thats about it.He plans to run 10psi, with 130,000 miles on the engine. I think it is going to blow but he sees differently. I dont know to much about the D series motors.. Any suggestions????

THANKS

There is a guy here on Honda-tech that had a D15 turbo on a stock block that was running strong from what I recall .. do a search and I am sure you will find his posts.. there a probably more than just one person..

Im doing a turbo setup on my d15b7 in my del sol, and it has 170k miles. If his is properly tuned, it will last a while. I plan on running 8psi on the hack, maybe more at the track, but ill have a spare motor just in case

i ran 10 psi on my d15b7 pretty hard for about a week with a T25 and then the headgasket blew, so i swapped it out and rolled around at like 6 for the rest of the season, this spring i will be running 8psi all the time on the same motor with an IHI RHB5 and i think it will be just fine. i run a greddy blue box though. i dont know how well that chip is gonna work for him.
157,000 on that motor by the way.

Ha, the kid at his tech school is me. The chip i'm using will be burned using uberdata. Custom fuel and ignition tables and ignition retarded per lb of boost. It is going to run way better than the hack because with the ECU chipped, my car will think it came stock with a turbo. I'm only going to run 8 psi daily, 10 at the track, it will hold, at least til this summer when I get my LS.

Just watch your headgasket,d15 head gaskets tend to blow at 10psi. 8 psi, you should be fine.

it should be fine with 130k. Might want to just check the compression in the cylinders.

160k d15b2-> mpfi conversion -> t25 @ 9psi, afc hack, intercooled. It's been running with this setup for about a month so far. I dont really care if it blows up though.

I have been running 5-8 psi on my D15b7 for almost a year now.. Put a lil over 10,000 miles on the engine since its been turboed. Not one single problem here.. For info on my setup check out my site. http://www.slammdsol.com
