I drive out early this morning to go but a set of Championship White ITR wheels for a guy up North. I drive up about an hour and throw them in the back seat and trunk of my mom's Tahoe. Trunk was full with all her junk and some tires I was going to sell to Ken (nsxtcjr). After picking them up, I had to head to school to drop off a paper where I was no longer than fifteen minutes.

I return only to find my moms truck with a broken rear trunk window broken and the wheels and tires missing. The damn day that I buy them too. Its also hard to believe that in such a big University parking lot, no one saw anything, esp. in the middle of the day.

My school, The University of Illinois At Chicago is full of little ricers, but I didn't think twice about leaving everything in the truck. After all, I would only be 15 minutes. I'm just assuming that it was some little riceboys. I'm not trying to be prejudice towards anyone in particular (RICE), but I just don't know who else would want these wheels.

Anyways, Just trying to vent

 

sounds like an "inside" job. Did you tell anyone you were getting them?

Just my parents. The guy I bought them from seemd like a nice guy. Older Businessman, didn't seem like that kind of person. PLus where I picked them up was practically in Wisconsin. I wouldn't think that he would know some young kids from the inner city. But I guess you never know.

 

Sorry to hear about it. Sometimes things happen that really suck.

 

1st thing I think of when I hear that, is that the guy you bought them from either followed you or had you followed to steal them back.

Ditto to that 1189. I didn't buy the wheels off Ken. The tires in the car were for Ken though. I think I'm gonna try to pay a visit to the guy I bought my wheels off of, but that won't probably do much. The only thing that leads me to believe it wasn't an inside job is that the car was in a multi-level parking garage that allows card-access only. It just stinks that i'm a college student saving his money to pay for these wheels and someone just had the nerve to do this.

 

are there any security cameras at the garage? maybe they have footage, ask around, maybe put up a sign with a reward for any info that leads to you getting them back. And of course, call the police...also, your insurance might cover it.

 

PY1188- Did u park in the Taylor parking lot??? If so, ppl can access the parking lot without student ID's... Anyone can park there for a few dollars an hour... UIC isnt safe at all... My friend told me that students get raped around that area a few years ago... My friend worries about his PY ITR when he parks at school...

 

Yeha the insurance and police report have already been taken care of. Just a lot of work for nothing.

HybridHatch-- No I actually parked in the Harrison lot. No cameras so I'm kinda just screwed. There's nothing I can do about it I guess. I park my ITR there often and I've never had a problem.

seriously jdm mods, or usdm mods anything to make someone have a bigger ***** envy is a good enough reason to steal from someone, thats why i am glad that I have del sol seats and not recaros because either way I think its a good reason for my car to be stolen, but then again I have no interior in my car whatso ever. so I am not worried about thieves, there is nothing to steal but my seats and my engine.

Parked in PSPS (that's Paulina st parking str.) for three years and got out without a scratch! I never liked the WSPS (Wood St) though. Like you said a lot of rice.

I have had my car broken into numorous times, and all they do is take **** that I like having in there or ****** it up when i figure out a way for them, not to be able to get around my theft deterants... They smash **** up, in front of my own house, I so know what its like to get my car broken into and have **** stolen so I know where dood is coming from.


crosses fingers , but I know he didnt intend to leave his **** in that parking lot, but still I work right next to uci, university of irvine and civics are stolen left and right out of that place, so that tells me if there was anything worth of any value in my car or any car I would take there for a brief second, I would not have them at school..

On top of that if he drives his car to school then they might of been stolen later on down the road.


cant say its happened with the rims, but my 800 dollar pioneer radio, 1000 dollars worth of cd's 4 pairs of brand new shoes, a bag of socks, my work badge, friends purse from under the seat. has been stolen out of my car when I went to a club, now thats about the value of those wheels he paid for and lemme tell you having no stereo in your car and 6 speakers sucks ***.

but im used to not listening to music now cause insurance told me to eat a big fat dick.

like I said I know where he is coming from, sometimes you just have to turn around and laugh at **** like this as funny as it may not be. Cause looking for pity or people to feel sorry for you is only going to drag you down more...

The guy I bought them off of is a real good guy. A friend of one of my real good friends. I've gotten over the situation. I just have to move on before I go crazy thinking about it. Now to start looking for a new set of wheels
