Default i-vtec vs. vtec

ok guys, we got a problem to solve, so i can tell this kidd to shut the hell up.
he says that a B20 with a b18c5 head, will kick a K24 with a K20a2 head's ***.
i dont think so. i think the k24 will win...since its a bigger motor. what does everybody else think?

It's all about whoever builds it. But if it was the same builder the K24 with a K20a2 head would make more power. it is a 2.4 motor. But I have a friend with a B20 block making good power. Let me advice this though, it's all about putting power to the ground. if you have 500 hp, it won't make a difference. all you do is keep doing is spinning the tires.

Just tell your "kidd" buddy that if that were the case, then all laws of physics would be broken....More displacement=More power....Size for size, technology to technology the K24 would be a more powerful engine...Esp since people are starting to put them in EG's

Oh one last thing, remind him how much dumber Honda is (compared to him) since they decided to engineer the K-series engines and make so many different models for the new vehicles

Sorry to act like a flame thrower but, "Pigs don't know Pigs stink"

K series
B series

I guess a lot of your question would have to do with the flow rates of each head, how each was tuned, and a lot of other little details, but assuming it's a stock head on a stock block, with a stock ECU, then the K should kill the B.

With the k24 frank you are looking at over 200 lb/ft torque and over 300 whp all motor turbo the motor would make such tremendous power and torque that it would be nearly impossible to keep it on the road look at cyber having problem with their k20 makes so much power it wont stay on the dyno and that just a k20 k24 sky's the limit
