Default b20/vtec vs. ls/vtec

i just bought a b16 head 2day, i had the b18a1 block. but now that all this is coming together, and i want an all motor app. im wondering about jus doin a b20 vtec. but i've heard alot of people with issues on b20's vs. an ls/v. really i jus wanna get the most power out of an all motor, and still be reliable. if anyone can help, i dunno, maybe give me the pro's and con's of each block, thanks...

now honestly if your lookin to get the most out the motor with a stock bottom you may as well go with the b20 block cause right off its more torque/power its good for an all motor app. but then if you go boost that's where id recommend ls block and it mainly has to do with the sleeves so you know there both based off the same block but the main problem is the sleeves the b20 is known for cracking under boost presser now there's always a safe amount but honestly people like to push the limit of there motor when it comes to boost I've seen it to many times to say other wise ok but back to the sleeves there the same sleeves the only thing is the the b20 is bored more causing the sleeves to be weaker but is a hundred percent reliable for an N/A app. ok I've had both and in all honesty i like the b20 block way more then the b18 you can feel the differance and as far as people talkin about reliabilty the motor is only as good as the one that assembles it I've never had any problem with leaks i ran a 13.9 consitant at 99mph and that was with a stock GSR head and stock b20 block in an EG hatch

good looks on that. but when you bore the b20 +0.5 over, doesn't it create even weaker sleeves, and what piston's can u use for the b20. plus i want 2 have a bottle ready, for whoever, but that is not for sure, i know for sure, i want it as a daily driver, but i want my car to have cojones....

it can go either way man.. im making 182hp with 141 tq right now on my lsv setup.. stage 1 cams, eagle rods, cp pistons 12:1, sleeved it... and yeah bolt ons as well...

had i gone with a better header and bigger cam i could have put myself well over 200hp, but yeah... i ***'d up... lol
