Default some question about my car!

Sorry, I am kind of new to this, I have a 99 civic lx and I'm putting on aftermarket exhaust, header and intake, does anybody know what else I can do to improve my car's performance? Is flywheel gonna help? If it does, should I get a prolite or streetlite?? Thanks for helping.

first i would do suspension it was the best mod i did to my car. And yes get a flywheel and a act clutch and that would make a great differance. I/h/e will be ok but you should make sure you want to kepp that motor befor you dump alot into it.

flywheel will def. help out, just get hte prolite, 9lb flywheel..

you'll have to get a new cam... skunk2 make one

P&P the head and prolly just port the IM some

bump c/r up, mill the head..

but its gonna cost a grip on an SOHC... you should try to swap a y8 (i think, the Vtec head) on there.. that'll def. be better

if you want to be alittle quicker yea some mild **** will be ok. Becarefull on the cam you will need to get springs and retainers and that starts gettin pricy you might as well get a motor swap, that is what i think from personal experaince. d motor are exspensive to upgrade remember that. And you will never have torque unless you drop some major cash or turbo.

flywheel = $295
skunk2 cam =$500
P&p=$500
Mill the head hmm not sure but not cheap
clutch=$350
springs $250
retainers$150
that puts you right at 2045 and that does not include headers or IM or install. get a motor swap or turbo for that same price.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=335078 is a good start.

i'd make sure you want to keep this motor before you dump a lot of money into it. check out that faq thread up top, and master using the search function.
