b16 vs b18c boosted

what motor is better to boost with stock internals gsr or b16?

this has been covered a billion times...

but with the same turbo, boost levels, etc, the b18c1 is gonna make more power.

Hows that when the B16 has more HP to begin with??? The b18 should make more tq but not HP, correct? Also the comp is higher so it takes less boost to make higher HP.

A b16 does not have more hp than a b18c, it does have a higher hp to liter ratio if thats what you are talking about.

if you are just buying a motor. save 1000 and get the b16 and boost it. you will be happy!!

I think your thinkin of an LS(B18a/b)=130/140hp engine. This guys askin about a B18C(GSR)=170hp

I say GSR cause I had a boosted B16, now installing B18C. There's guys on this board making more power than you'll ever need with either, though.
