Default Who makes a quiet BOV?

I want a TurboXS TypeS because they are inexpensive but I heard they are loud. Any quieter ones? Under 10psi.

Under 10psi the BOV is really not too audible IMHO. If you want it quieter route the port on the BOV back into the intake piping that connects to the throttle body like boosted stock cars. You will still know it's there, but it won't be like an open atmosphere BOV.

You could use the TYPE-S and run a rubber hose off the outlet and route it further away, the rubber hose should help quiet it down, if you want it even more quiet, run one of those mini K&N filters at the end of the hose. Just a thought, I have never tried doing this.

yup i have one of those at 7psi its really quiet. (open to atmosphere). if you get a recirculating bov plumbed back into the intake its really stealth.

it's a bypass valve, and yes, its completely quiet. *supposedly* there's an advantage to doing it(says porsche), but i dont buy it. if you wanna weld a nipple on your intake you could do it, but i dont think its worth it. the bosch valve is like $40, but the diaphragm will eventually rupture after about 50-60k miles(its plastic). im planning on taking mine off, call me a ricer, but i like the whooooshing sound.

Actually the benefit is a lower spool time. It's supposed to knock down the spool up time by reducing the vacuum at the turbo inlet when the ByPass opens. It seem's realistic enugh to me, but I've only had one on a DSM, and I never thought about checking it out untill I swapping it and noticed that it didn't seem as peppy after a shift. Could be my imagination though.

It fealt sluggish because it was running pig rich for a seccond. if you vent a MAF car to atmosphere it runs really rich right after a shift because you are letting out metered air. I really doubt you could feel the diff just because of the stronger vac at the turbo inlet thing. maybe though
