Default is it worth it?

i'm just wondering if y'all think it's worth it to swap a b18c1 block for the b16a2 block, if the future bodes a turbo?

If you're planning to turbo, I'd stay with the B16. All motor B18C.

GSR is the right motor to boost, the head is perfect for it.

B16 is ok for boost but the head is more for all motor.

It's the B16 he has...

If I were in your position, I'd just boost the B16... but it depends totally on your power goals and future plans.

oh in that case. boost the b16. . i don't think it'd be worth the time and money to swap the motor.

you would have more displacement. IMO i would just stay with the b16a short block.

yea i mean i could porbably have the block swap done by mid summer, or i could wait about a year and a half, n then be boosted. or i could just do both in a much larger time frame (of course). The whole problem is the fact that i have just enough money for either a badass suspension setup or to get the block swap, that is the whole "is it worth it" part. I should have been more specific, it was late, but yea should i sacrifice looks and handling for performance?

I think it'd be well worth it, it will move your car better now, and when you're ready for turbo you will have a better plataform.

I would go with the c1 bottom end, pretty strong for boost and better torque numbers. And it will be a good combo for all motor also.

do you know if it would be an easy reliable swap? i'm guessin it would be, since the block wouldn't have to be built like a non vtec block (i.e. the b18b or b20).
