Adjustable cam gears are good for advancin or retarding the cam timing,
by advancin or retarding cam u can allow a better air inlet flow, scavenging and mantains a more clean and more time to fill the cylinders
by advancin intake, it makes the valves open longer, by wich more time opened and right from TDC , allows more air to be sucked in the motor
by retarding u can make vlaves open later, wich might help scavenge and let the fumes go out faster and better air flow
\overlap makes exhaust fumes flow suck some clean air out, so that way u have a cleaner mixture on the engine rather than haveing some dirty fumes molecules left
etc....

u might find better answers

also, if you are running anything but stock compression, or get headwork, you might want to consider them. if you are running stock, I think it would be a waste of money. If you have a turbo or got some hi compression, I would get them. just not any 3 bolt junk that's floatin out there.

Yeah.. should be floating in a toilet.
some cam gears come with more bolts but they are cheap bolts. chuck them and get better quality ones and use loctite. You can ever be too sure.

AEM is garbage IMO. I have had various parts made by AEM and they cost more and the materials feel cheap. They have brand name power but, their quality is average.
