99 ex engine harness into 97 cx hatch?

Default 99 ex engine harness into 97 cx hatch?

yo people i was wondering in order to make the swap easier without wiring problems can i just use a 99 civic ex engine harness in my 97 cx hatch. will this work. since the ex harness is already rigged for vtec.

you can use it but will need the si obd2 ecu, unless you plan on converting to obd1.

yea i'm going to go obd1 p28 ecu. so it'll be cool and everything should plug up rite...

Yeah but the 99 ex harness is obd2b. It would be less of a pain to use a 96-98obd2 ex harness instead of a 99-00 ex harness

It will not work unless you want to do a decent amount of rewiring. Not only are the plugs slightly different but most of the pinouts are also. You need to reuse your stock harness or get a 96-98 EX harness.
