thermostat removal question
i removed my thermostat a while back since i went turbo on my civic. i read in some honda book i believe ?ross collins? about how he did not recommend the removal of the thermostat. instead it looked as though he had a thermostat and he punched out the middle so that the theory is that it would slow down the flow through the radiator to actually cool the coolant.
any comments? choiboi.

Some people drill tiny holes in their thermo to make some coolant flow by. I personally just like to use stock OEM thermo, no modifications. I have turbo GSR by the way.

I had been runnin no Thermo for almost 7 months on my turbo LS civic.........I was having to refil the damn thing at least every other day........ the only reason i removed it was because i was over heating to much ....it solved my problem for a while...but finally my motor started to get hot again so finally i put the OEM honda thermo back in.....no problems since! If your motor is good, then u shouldnt remove the thermo stat....its there for a reason. LEAVE IT
