Passing godforsaken smog!!!
I have a generic intake on my '94 Accord. It is up for smog at the end of March. What can I do besides bribe the **** out of the guy at the shop? I dont have my stock intake.
Thanks

unfortunately, your best bet is to either get a stock intake, and put it in, or buy a carb legal intake. as for a carb sticker, i dont think you'll be able to find one, unless you rip one off and copy it. but if they check the EO #'s, and it doesn't match to your intake, your prolly fucked.

dude, seriously, my car passed smog with a generic intake, shouldn't really affect it THAT much but it does affect it. I passed smog so i'm assuming you can too. But just to be on the safe side.... maybe you have a friend with an AEM intake and just swap for like a day, those are street legal for some reasons i'm assuming

Do smog people in Calf. look for mods or do they just put the sniffer in the tail pipe. because in Atlanta they do not look for carb sticker. Just wondering

CARB = CALIFORNIA air resource board. you CAN FAIL visual inspection with a non-carb approved intake. some places wont care, but most do now. the intake itself will not cause u to fail a tailpipe test. i had a AEM CAI (carb approved), GReddy SS header (carb approved) and GReddy SP (doent need any approval since its after the cat) on my 96 ex coupe. i passed the test only dyno with flying colors with 90kmi on the clock
