Anyone bought h22 from them?
http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...gines
anyone try this place Im getting a h22 with auto tranny. Also I have spoke to them and a place called gspeed neither company offers more than a start up warranty. On the h22 that kind of sucks you know. thats why I want to know if anyone bought there h22 from there or if anyone has any suggestions. I have basically made up my mind I will get h22 but no 5 speed conversion. Anyone know a place with h22 with a better warranty? Cause I dont want to pay 2000$ and the thing break and be out 2000$. They also say the compression test and leak test it how can I be sure they have done this? Will my accord exhaust still fit when I put h22 in?

Yep, that's were I got mine 2 yrs ago (when it was called "Hondamotorsonline") and have put close to 30K miles on it. No problems whatsoever.
The warranty didnt scare u away do they really test each motor. How would u know if they did or not. Im going to more than likely buy one from there Im just hating the warranty good price though.
So basically its a safe bet. I will not have to worry about getting a bum one. Im just not wanting to go through all the trouble if it would not work. Also will my exhaust still fit or will I have to get a new one. Ok if the h22 is good what about the tranny and ecu what if they have problems. I have talked so Steve he is nice. But will I need anything else besides h22,tranny, and ecu?
just realize that the h22's w/ auto tranny's have only 180hp also...i just found that out in an article i was reading about h22 swaps. I've also dealt with hmotorsonline, they're pretty reliable.

It will still be fast I hope. Just because its an automatic isnt all bad. I just dont want to have to do that 5 speed conversion. So Im going to order it today or tomorrow. I just dont want to have to go through all the trouble of putting it in. Then it not work right you guys understand my concern right? Well saying all that is it the safest place to get the H22? Kteller did you get yours there?

Im getting a h22 from there I dont know what year. They dont tell you also Im from Florida. They are suppossed to be sending me an H22 and tranny I hopes its the H22 tranny it better be.
the autos have 200 hp. thahts why they are jsut barely slower than teh 5 spd in teh 1/4 mile.
and a start up warranty is better than none.
you are buying a junkyard engine. a jukyard sells the engine as a rebuildable core....they wont guarantee more than that at MOST places.

well the reason im doing this is because my tranny went out. So now I just want to go ahead and replace the f22b1 and tranny. With the h22 and tranny. Will the f22 work with the lude tranny if the h22 motor sucks. Should I get the lsd tranny for 300$ more.
in the february article of honda tuning magazine it talks about H22 swap, spec's, install, etc..... check that out for some more info.
it also is where i read that the auto h22 motors only had 180hp

that's BS, like already mentioned there are a number of peeps with JDM auto H22 swaps who are just a few tenths slower in the 1/4 mile than 5sp H22 swaps. i would believe actual 1/4 mile times over what a magazine says. actually SCC said this 180hp thing about 2yrs ago in the H22 into civic swap article. so it's old news.
