Just resetted the ECU, now ABS light stays on...... anyone had this happen to them?
if this happened to you, what did you do to fix it?
remember, this only happened after I resetted my ECU and cleaned my K&N filter...... before that, it was working perfectly........ what do you guys think is the prob? can't be damaged cuz i didn't install anything....... TIA

it's too dark to do it right now, but i'll check the code tomorrow after school......
i'm still hoping someone has been through this before and can tell me what they did

your ABS is not at all related to your ecu. What year car u have?
There could be a couple things wrong with your abs system.
first check out the level. you just might need more fluid.
check below the abs modulator (passenger front corner) to see if you are leaking fluid.
what happens when the light comes on? is it while you are driving, or when you start the car up

the abs light is supposed to go on at startup and eventually go off... but mine just stays on..... i have a 94 GSR sedan and I'm pretty sure my fluid isn't leaking....... i'll check the fluid level once daylight comes in.... maybe i should flush the old fluid and replace it and bleed it
how did you reset the ecu? did you take the negative or positive cable off the battery or did you just pull the ecu back up fuse? when i swapped batteries, i forgot to hook the abs cable back to the power cable and i had the abs light stay on while driving. realized my mistake instantly and put the cable back on power
actually I took off the backup fuse AND i removed both positive and negative battery cables so that I could clean the terminals (there was some weird battery acid crap on the negative terminal) ........ which cable is the abs power cable??

look towards the passanger side area and you'll see an abs box. there should be a wire coming out of the box and check if that's connect to the power side of the battery. i think that's the wire, but i haven't checked my engine bay for a while
absolutely CORRECT!!!
I knew there was an extra accessory wire that I missed when I connected the battery cables...... I just couldn't find it...... I was looking for a stray unconnected wire and after tracing the ABS wire from the ABS fuse box, the end was hiding right under my stock GSR strut bar!! I couldn't see it cuz the wire was so short i thought it'd be hanging down where i could see it...... hahaha..... LOL
Thanks acuraintegraman!!
