Fiberglass rear quarter panel????
My girlfirend got in an accident in a 97 civic ex coupe, she was hit in the rear driverside quarter panel. She took the car to the body shop and they fixed it. Well, a couple weeks later, he car was parked, and it was hit in the same spot. There is a crack, however, where the previous damage was fixed. In looking at it closer, it appears that it is fiberglass! It is my understanding that the rear quarter panels are metal. Does anyone know if this is an acceptable form of repair? It seems rather usafe to me. Thanks!

this is most likely the case, and by body filler, he means bondo.

Yes, they most likely pulled the dent out as much as they good, and used the fiberglass/bondo to smooth the surface. Its impossible to pull the dent completly and make it smooth, and replacement of the panel way probably unnecessary, as was mentioned earlier.
