Default security code

hi guys,

my sister bought a 98 honda accord and never recieved her security code for her head unit. when she replaced her battery her head unit went on security mode. is there anyway that the honda dealership can decode her head unit so it can work again? it would really be a waste to get rid of a perfectly nice head unit.

thanks ahead.

Yes take it back to the dealer they may be able to help. You might have to show proof that you bought the car.

you are gonna need proof tying you to the vehicle to get a code..or check your glovebox we usually put the code in there it should be a sticker in there..

Should not cost anything. They should just be able to look up and you should be set. Again not sure since i usally dont mess with honda head units. Why have a factory when you can have a badass aftermarket one.
