so how about i took off the positive battery terminal to do some work and with out warning the car kinda re-set every thing(duh) but whats the best way to get the head unit out with out wasting alot of time searching through the dash....i need the serial number off the back to call honda and get a code for the stereo

 

if that's the factory sterio that came with your car, all you need is your vin#. but i dont think they will do it over the phone i believe u have to take your car to honda dealer. also it's not free to get that code

 

press 1 and 6....or so I read the other day. If not, just put your head in the passenger side floorboard and look behind the console and you can read the serial #.

I just called the acura dealer when I pulled my battery, and got the code for free. All I needed was the serial number.
