I just picked up a set of used Mazda Millenia wheels from the junk yard for $425 and I'm going to use them for winter rims. They are hideously filthy and a bit beat up. I've cleaned an initial layer of brake dust off with Castrol wheel cleaner but they're still fairly dirty. Can anyone recommend a more powerful cleaner?

Also there's some rust/corrosion where the hub met the wheel. What's a good effective way to remove this?

I recommend Meguiar's tire cleaner, if not, try acid cleaner...

 

No. He is not real. I first saw that site more than two years ago. The general idea is the same, but I see "he" made many improvements since. The old version was a bit more believable cause it seems more like a simple man with money "searching for help" to find the ladies. Now, it seems a bit more comical.

 

Meguiar's tire cleaner is great..for tires

but i believe the tire makes the wheel...so i focus more on the shine of the tires
