CTR Cluster Vs. USDM Si Cluster
ok i own both. i currently have the si one in my 00 hatch, and i would like to know if i can just swap the tachs out, or just put the face from the CTR tach on my Si tach. whichever is easiest.
your better off swapping the whole unit. its extremly easy to damage the needle and rip it off from the sending unit. also there might be an issue with the actual difference in measuring points not corresponding to RPM.
I believe you'd be better off just swapping off the faceplates. Look on the back of the gauge, and they should be held in place by a few little screws and tiny circular plastic tabs.
you do not have to remove the needles to swap out any of the gauges. it is real easy to do
but i agree it is a total waste and i would probably sell one of the gauge clusters for a decent buck

thanks fellas, i agree some what on the waste thing.
you could say they same thing about people who buy a B16B just for the head.
but im not exactly throwing anything away.
if and when i do decide to get rid of anything.
i'll return it to stock.
also i looked into just ordering a brand new oem factory JDM CTR tach.
my firend has done this before when his tach stopped working in his accord.
i would much rather di it like that.
