VAFC wires into your stock ECU, and allows you to control the RPM point at which VTEC crosses over. It also acts as a fuel controller, allowing you to add or subtract fuel at certain RPM intervals.
what other mods do you have?
it's unnecessary/ waste of $ if you're not running a FI setup or if you've replaced your internals, etc...

i wanted to get me a vafc and i was wondering if it would matter if my car wasn't vtec. I have a h23a1 motor but i plan on swapping an h23vtec motor. Will i still be able to use the vafc for af ratio even it's for vtec motors because i don't wanna have to buy two of them

Wow.
Well generally speaking most users use it to control their VTEC. SO why bother. Seems a bit expensive to just use it for a AF guage

it'll work like an S-AFC just without the VTEC function. so yes, if he wanted to use it for its fuel changing, theoretically it would still work

i would wait ,till you have the v tec motor then buy the vafc , or buy the vafc and intall when u swap ur new engine . dont do any mods that are gonna be a waste of money trust me i learn the hard way about that . in my pass i done stupid senceless mods that i just blew money for no gains .
