Default Alpine SPX-F17M - component speakers

Hey,

I can't wait to install these Alpine's. They were their "flagship"comp speakers for 2003 and I got a killer deal on them. They normally list for $750 - I got them for half off (closeout) - I am stoked. These are gonna replace my A/D/S 325is (5.25 comp speakers) in my front doors.

I listened to them in an M3 - all i can say is holy ****!! And on top of it they are 6.5" - I think I got a great buy.

The dang crossovers are huge!! Just one of them is 2x the sixe of my A/D/S crossover and they have jumper pins you can move around for bi-wiring or bi-amping, even for tweeter/woofer locations in the door or kickpanel.

I need some warmer weather to work outside though - damn winter!
Here's some "eye candy" - enjoy!

How do you mount the crossovers for door speakers? Do you just zip tie them to the inside of the doorpanel?

NO, the crossovers are way too big. I will mount them under neath the drivers seat and run new wiring into the doors
