Where the hell do you get your work done??? I am having my door mouldings shaved for $50 bucks each side, and then paint is about 200 bucks. You need to just look around and check prices. I would say that 500 dollars is about right, luckily I am good friends with my body guy.
Also, check to make sure how they fill the holes. Most will say they weld the holes, but you need to check to see how they smooth the welds and make it flush w/ the exterior. My body shop is one of the best I have ever seen and he uses fiberglass instead of bondo, because bondo shrinks after time and will leave impressions.
Ask for pictures or recommendations to other customers with custom body work, and make sure that you like the quality.

hey thanks HSP! ill probably start check around soon. so the correct way to shave is to weld the holes up from the backside of the doors and fiberglass the hole on the fron side? thanks for the help. does anyone have any pics on the steps?
Actually, correct way is to cut the handle pocket out and create a small lip to weld in a filler panel from the outside. Doing it from the inside is just the more common way to do it to an import because it is easier. No need to cut the filler perfect and welds can be more sloppy.
And fiberglass shrinks also. Its just something expected but is usually so little that you won't notice if done correctly. Your fiberglass or bondo should be no more than 1/8" thick anywhere anyways. The only real benefit to fiberglass over body filler is that fiberglass will add a little more strength to the metal which is now weaker because the handle is gone, the pocket of the handle used to create some rigidity to it.
And prices vary a lot. A lot of times you get what you pay for unless you know someone who knows how to do it. Lucky for me I know how so didn't cost me a dime to shave all the mouldings, emblems, handles, locks, and such from my Astro and did my truck one night when bored.
And try to find someone who has welded an import before. The sheet metal is so thin on them that it takes very little heat to warp your whole door. Takes a lot of patience and experience.

Actually, an Integra doesn't have a pocket on the side of the door. It is flush, there are only about 8 holes that hold the mouldings in.
